Photographs of preserved
natural areas near Duke Campus
"Start Local"
Although my research involves remote
and alien habitats, local rivers and hills fulfill my daily
need for nature.
These photographs
show natural areas within a 30
minute drive of Duke University and are meant to
encourage
people
to explore them or other areas
near their own homes. All
these habitats are preserved
due to the hard work of primarily
volunteer organizations.
High resolution versions of these photographs
are available upon request. Conservation organizations
are
particularly encouraged to
use these images to protect and raise awareness of natural
lands.
